Very early in my childhood I started to draw, and make things from wood. Living in the rural isolation of Devon intensified those interests. In my early teens I got into playing guitar, and Metal really resonated with me. In my twenties I trained as a luthier with Tom Waghorn. He gave me an understanding of the precision of modern luthiery. As my training progressed I realised that I could align my passion for Metal, woodwork, and painting towards a single purpose: a workshop entirely focused on Metal luthiery. For the last decade, inspired by the support of guitarists around the world, I have put all my energy into Daemoness Guitars.
I think of my guitars as technical and contemporary, and as a craftsman I strive to evolve the Metal guitar, whilst maintaining the attributes that define it. I believe that no artist can ever rival the creativity of the natural world, so a lot of the guitars that define my craft simply celebrate the beauty of natural timber. In my artwork, I explore the history of mankind, the body, death, power, war, civilisation, mysticism, the supernatural, the apocalypse, and eternity, to tell stories of good and evil. I really enjoy making concept guitars that explore these subjects. If you are looking for a straightforward build, or a concept guitar that deals with one of these themes, I would love to work with you to make it a reality.
